NECKY LOOKSHA IV - 750.00
17' Necky Looksha IV touring sit-in sea kayak. Yellow color poly and is equipped with rudder. Two watertight storage hatches. The boat is in good condition with normal wear. Necky made this boat with multi-chines and it carves turns very easily with a little guiding lean. It has good initial stability that is smooth as you lean further into its solid secondary stability. If you want the simplest of handling just drop the rudder into the water. It is a nice and forgiving boat that does well in a variety of conditions. For campers it has plenty of room with large easy to load hatches for camping. This boat is perfect for beginners or intermediate paddlers. Will sell with paddle and cockpit cover. Valley 3 piece Aquanaut - $1700
Three piece Valley Aquanaut. This boat does not have a skeg so it has lots of storage space. I just paddled one of these in Alaska for ten days and it's a great boat, loaded or unloaded; also great for an apartment dweller with limited space. Necky Elaho, Advanced Composite lay-up, used, $1950.00
Must part with a well-loved, performance touring sea kayak. 16’ 4” x 22.5”, 48 lbs., with a multi-chined, rockered hull, dolphin bow, and low back deck. There are three bulkheads; the two main compartments have aesthetically pleasing flush-mounted fiberglass covers, and the day hatch has a Valley gasket. The boat has both deck bungees and perimeter lines. The cockpit’s thigh braces and whitewater back band are adjustable for a positive fit.
Installed extras include the SmartTrack rudder system, which has both stationary foot pegs for secure bracing and rolling, and toe levers for setting the foil-shaped blade to easily hold course in crosswinds; a Suunto compass; a NorthWater below deck “glove compartment”; and a couple of interior attachment points for things like bilge pump and paddle float.
The Advanced Composite Elaho was $2700 new in 2004, and the current model is $3000. The polyethylene version is currently $1,600. If you can put up with the inevitable scratches of four years of use, you can have a sweet, fast, tricked-out ride with a high end lay-up for not much more than the cost of a plastic boat!
Available for pick-up in Benicia, CA. There is water nearby, but test paddlers must be experienced in capsize recovery.

This is mid-sized folding kayak. Specs:

This boat was purchased new in Fall of 2005. It is in excellent condition. I have added many custom fitting options as described below. The hull looks dirty from bottoming out in some mud flats; it is mud that just won't quite wash off all of the way. The integrity of the hull is excellent. There may be some scuff marks but there are no abrasions that I can see.
Deck color is blue; deck is very clean.
Included extras:
- Nylon neoprene sprayskirt
- Custom nylon seasock (made from 1000 denier nylon)
- Oversized floatation bags
- Deck line
- Basic paddle
- Hull reinforcement strips (not yet installed)
- Shoulder harness added to the canvas storage bag

- Added removable thigh braces
- Added an Immersion research backband and a custom Feathercraft style sling seat (this is a very nice and comfortable seating arrangement)

2 sets Yakima LandShark-style kayak saddles - $75
I have 2 sets of older Yakima kayak saddles (8 saddles total -- 1 pair front, 1 pair back x 2), the older version of the LandShark model (see Yakima site: http://yakima.com/Product.aspx?Number=8004030). The hardware is a little rusty from sea water, but it's nothing that a little lubricant won't fix; overall the saddles work great for easily loading two boats on a rack.

Bicycle set up includes three fork mounts and three rear wheel trays (6" long). Also includes front fairing. Both bike and kayak mounts are attached all the time. You can carry either two kayaks or three bikes or one kayak and one bike with out switching any gear. Rack was used on an Audi Station Wagen (Avant). Sold car and replacement vehicle came with different type of rack. Rack is in Walnut Creek.

Lightly used P&H Capella 160 Blue rotomold kayak. Classic British sea kayak. Length 16'4", Wt 50 lbs. One year old. Low volume kayak perfect for small to medium framed kayaker. Selling new for $1700. This is my first sea kayak and it has been great fun on lakes, rivers and the ocean.
