Articles

The following selected articles are taken from Bay Currents, the monthly newsletter of the Bay Area Sea Kayakers (BASK). Bay Currents features expanded trip reports, an events calendar and a classified ad section. Recent articles include tips on surf kayaking, book reviews, building a Baidarka, overhead kayak storage, marine radio basics, etc. etc. Our volunteer editors strive to keep our membership informed about items of interest to the paddling community, including political and environmental concerns.

Please note: stories about crashing in caves or being attacked by sharks are fun to read. These types of stories are more likely to be written down as well. The great majority of BASK trips are calm and safe, so don't base your statistical analysis on the stories that make it into the list here.
