• Cow Patty Pageant - An annual race and paddle on the Estero Americano in Sonoma County, CA. Benefits the Sonoma Agricultural Land Trust. (January 31, 2010)
• Golden Gate Sea Kayak Symposium - A 3-day instructional gathering aimed towards intermediate and advanced paddlers in and around San Francisco Bay. (February 26-28, 2010)
• Greenland National Kayaking Championship - The annual top event in Greenland kayaking.
• Santa Cruz Kayak Surf Festival - The annual top kayak surfing event on the West Coast. Steamer Lane point break, Santa Cruz, CA. (March 26-28, 2010)
• South Sound Traditional Inuit Kayak Symposium - (SSTIKS) is a family friendly weekend event featuring some of the best instructors and competitors in Greenland-style kayaking. In Twanoh State Park, WA. (June 18-20, 2010)
• Traditional Arctic Kayak Symposium - (TAKS) has been an annual event on the California coast since 2006, with various locations (San Simeon and Mendocino). It celebrates the making of, use of, and history of, traditional Arctic kayaks, Umiaks and other related skin-on-frame, strip built, or stitch and glue vessels. (October 16-18, 2009 in San Simeon, CA)
• West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium - A symposium with a long tradition that happens every year in Port Townsend, WA. (September 25-27, 2009)
