Safety and Education Committee

The Safety and Education Committee (SEC) was established to provide resources, training opportunities, and gentle guidance for the club's needs. The committee is composed of experienced paddlers, instructors who maintain current ratings and updates, as well as members who are early in their paddling years. The SEC organizes periodic safety refresher clinics, and responds to requests from the membership for specific training opportunities.

We would like to hear from you if there is any need or desire for specific training. Single-day clinics are preferred, but some multiple-day sessions spread over some time are also possible. These requests should nominally fall outside of what is typically presented at the Skills Clinic or regularly offered at one of the many outfitters in the area. We'd be happy to work with you to put together a clinic starting from a kernel of an idea.
