Im planning to compete in the first leg of the Race to Alaska again (Port Townsend, WA to Victoria, BC), and curious if there are any interested paddlers who might want to take the 35 mile trip. It's a great race to be involved with, even if only for the first leg.
I grew up paddling/guiding out of Sitka, AK and have a pretty good amount of multi-day coastal paddling experience but mostly sail on the bay these days. I currently have a couple sailboats, but no kayak, and would be willing to trade logistical support for boat access (travel and lodging).

Klepper Aerius II folding kayak, from mid 80's, light use, in fair-good condition. Includes Balogh ketch sail rig with amas, and one Werner 2-piece carbon fiber paddle (plus the Klepper paddles).
The sail rig and Werner paddle are in virtually new condition, and by themselves are easily worth the asking price. Many accessory items included.
A great combination for cruising SF Bay and beyond. This very kayak is pictured in Ralph Diaz's book "Complete Folding Kayaker".
My interests have moved in other directions and I haven't used these items in years. I am sacrificing them at this bargain price to clear out my storage space, and in the hope that they find a good home.
In Redwood City.
