In lieu of a May general meeting or Zoom we're changing it up!
Been a while since we've done this..a picnic. And we've never done it this way...Paddle n' Picnic.
For those who want to work up an appetite, you can start by paddling from Ferry Point Park in Richmond, maybe around Brooks Island (6 mi) or to Albany Beach (10 mi) RT. There will be a mild ebb all morning, slack at noon. However, using the small ebb on the outside of the island and inside on the return should make it easy. Looking for paddle initiators for both paddles or something else you'd like to initiate from Ferry Point.
Then join in at 12:30 with a picnic just one minute drive back to Miller Knox Regional Park (which you pass on the way to Ferry Point) at the Pintail Picnic area. (37.91381, -122.38602).
This will be a potluck picnic, so rev up your best recipe. Our food guru, Diane, will send out more information about suggested plates.
